  • Monitor 2200 - Ignitor Question

How do you test to see if the ignitor is working? This questions goes with my other post of error 13. Thank you.

the 2200 is the propane type? inside the burn chamber is a gap to ground at or near a point where the propane comes out. the spark is generated by a spark generator on the main circuit board. it is not to be confused with the flame detector which is in the general area of the spark gap. E-13 indicates no fuel, no flame. unplug the heater to reset the computer, plug it back in and hit start. the normal 300 second purge takes place, then you have gas and ignition.

      M2200 igniter

The resistance of the igniter is 12.7 OHM's at room temp. The voltage on the circuit board should show 110 ac when you try to start. If your igniter is out and you have tried to start the stove 5 or 6 times it may be flooded. You will know right away as soon as you remove the igniter. If you do have to remove the igniter you'll need several gaskets when you go back together.
