Hey all. I have a submersible pump that is operated off from a pressure switch. For some reason the pump will shut off after pumping for just a couple of minutes even though the switch is still made. If i turn the switch off for about 10 minutes and flip back on the pump will begin working again for another couple of minutes. I then have to turn the switch off and start the process over. Any help or information on why this is happening would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have the pump specifications? If so, use a snap on ammeter and measure the pumps amp draw. It sounds like there may be a problem with the pump motor and it is drawing excessive current then shutting down on an internal thermal overload switch. -
