  • Tidy DIY Solutions for Hiding Network Cables

Hey everyone, looking for some DIY-friendly ways to run internet cables along indoor walls. What are some neat solutions to hide the wires without making a mess or doing any major drilling?

Hi! One of the easiest and cleanest ways to run internet cables along indoor walls is by using adhesive cable raceways. They’re simple to install, don’t require any drilling, and can be painted to match the wall so they blend in better. For areas along baseboards or corners, small cable clips can help guide the wire neatly without being too noticeable. Planning the route in advance helps avoid adjustments later. In some cases, it’s also possible to tuck the cable under carpet edges, along door trims, or behind furniture to keep things out of sight without making a mess.

Do adhesive cable raceways or covers tend to damage wall surfaces when removed?

Most adhesive cable raceways are made to come off, but they can sometimes damage the wall, especially if the paint is old or the surface is delicate. On smooth and newer painted walls, they usually peel off without much trouble if you go slowly.

To make it easier, you can warm the sticky part with a hair dryer before removing it. Some types also use special adhesive strips that are easier on the wall and don’t leave marks.
