What is the best thing to use for the little and sometimes not so little cracks that appear in the drywall corners.  I have used several things, but they all seem to dry out and crack again.

 Nothing has ever been better than good ol paper tape! Crease it in the middle, mud each side and embed the tape in the compound. Then trowel as thin as you can and let dry. Then sand and mud over again in thin applications. Finally feather out from the corner to make a smooth transition to the final wall surface.

 Yes, you might consider retaping. Since it is a corner, you could probably go right over the top. For step by step instructions on taping a corner, go to the site listed below.

 Go over a crack exactly the same way you would tape a joint. It takes practice to get really good, but anyone can do it with patience. Watch the video at the website below and give it a try. Good luck!
