  • Thuja Green Giant

Around the third week of April I planted Thuja Green Giants that I purchased. They're between 6 &7 feet tall and was wondering if I need to cover them for an upcoming frost/freeze? I'm in western PA and we had a frost the end of April in which the ends did turn brown. I thought they would be able to withstand a frost.
    Thank you!

If your recently planted Thuja Green Giants are still establishing, consider covering them with blankets or frost cloth during frost or freeze events. This will help trap heat and provide insulation. Additionally, applying organic mulch around the base can offer some protection. Monitor weather forecasts and take appropriate measures to safeguard your trees.
