Dehumidifer issues

I have 2 dehumidifiers, with the fans working, but take days to capture enough water to fill their containers. I do not hear the compressors cycling on/off like they once did. Both worked properly last summer. Is there an easy fix? Do they work with freon?

dehumidifiers DO work with freon - probably R-22. You as a homeowner cannot refill them. you need to be licensed for flourinated hydrocarbons.
