  • York Heater and Ac unit

I have a ten year old York system that has stopped working over the summer. The furnace will not ignite. I have already replaced the smart valve per an HVAC guy recomendation but that did not fix the problem. Any ideas??

How to Troubleshoot a Honeywell SmartValve | eHow.com
Go to this site and ask a honeywell tech.
They had a lot of trouble with this junk they call a gas valve.
If you wiggle the wire harness around it might fire, but you will still have trouble. I never did hear what the final fix was.
This last year i turn in 5 of there thermostats because they were too far off
I used to have good faith in them, but its slowing fading. Quality control!!!

      York Electric furnace

We have had a York furnace for 4 years and had to replace almost everything on it, We had to replace the fan 1 time because it would not shut off. They replaced it with a new fan ,now starting to do the same thing again, We have to keep resetting it for it to work right. This happens only with the heat , work perfect with the air condition.

Not really sure whats going on with your unit, But the power that runs a blower comes from a electronic board. This board does the powering up of the blower on different speed depending on weather you are on heating speed, cooling speed, or
        con. fan on speed.
Are all these parts under warranty? Better buy a extended warranty if the
quality is that good on those Yorks. The unit i sell comes with 10 years on all parts. Motors don,t normally go bad like that unless someone wires something wrong and hots up two speeds at the same time, or if the board is doing this hotting up two speeds at the same time. Paul
