Battery Alarm

A friend just told me he heard a beeping sound coming from the furnace...calling in a furnace man he couldn't find anything ..charge $125

his neighbor then came and disconnected a battery alarm for the air conditioner...I asked him was he sure it wasn't coming from the thermostat indicating the batteries were getting low...does this make any sense?? what batteries are associated with the air conditioner

Yes some stats will blink when battery is low and some will beep. This stuff is changing so fast ,its hard to keep up with. Paul
