    Utica boiler adjustment....

Utica boiler model MCB (MGB?) 125HD. Can the temperature at which the flame kicks in be adjusted? That is, it presently kicks in at 180*'s. Can that be changed to 160*'s? If so, how?

take the cover off the aquastat and look for the temperature dial. should be two indicator arrows. one is cut-in, one is cut-off. bring the cut-in lower to where you want it. leave the cut-off alone. inside the unit is a helical coil that turns the disk as the flue temperature increases. this will turn on the circulator pump.
