I have one of those barrel type propane space heater. The kind that puts out enormous amounts of heat. Very nice. But....after a short while it shuts itself off. It's a simple unit. Barbecue type tank, regulator, hose, pilot valve, main valve w/thermal couple, ten inch pipe, flame cup. It seems that the flame progressively gets smaller. Shake the propane tank a bit and it flames back up. When the flame does go out, I find the top half of the propane tank is cold and sweaty. Is it freezing up at some orifice because of a pressure/volume drop?
