  • About My Sears again

Well I didn't get a reply on my last question about the manifold to burner question. Well heres a development...a rather loud VOOOSSH! apon startup. There seems to be an acrid smell as well...not a gas smell but almost acidic. This doesn't happen everytime but mostly when the temperature in the house is stable for a period of time and the burner hasn't run for 15-20 minutes. I have cleaned of the burner heads with a brush, vaced the unit out and for a short time things seem to be fine, then VOOOOSSSSHH! What do ya think...cracked heat exchange?

Do you have teh air set right on the burners. Is the pilot lighter strip clean there also. Gas pressure ok for LP or Nat gas????
