are the bearings of the sealed type?? those motors usually of the double shafted design with oil-lite bronze bearings. you might be able to lubricate them with a light oil like three-in-one oil. how long they'd last, anybody's guess. the oil-lite bearing is porous bronze in a felt and steel web in the end bells. take out the motor and position the shaft up and down and drip some oil down the shaft into the bearing and let it sit there for a few hours and do the same with the opposite side. the oil will be absorbed by the felt through the porous bronze and will also lube the shaft/bearing contact area.
