Correct condenser fan motor??
Circa 1974 Bryant 5 ton condenser fan motor bearings went out. No info on motor housing. Install sheet stated full load amps were 2.3. Grainger replaced with 1/3 hp 1075 rpm 2.5 FLA motor which seems ok but I think not as much air is blowing over coils. Is hp and fan speed right? The replacement fan on my 3 ton Bryant is 1/3 hp also. Can my digital laser thermmeter reading heat off the 2 sets of coils help me? Thanks

Central AC. to HayZee, Thanks for info. Here is more info on my unit. Motor is lug mount, 1/2 in shaft. My specific question is regardding rpms and HP. The unit has worked ok fsor a week since the installation of new motor, I just think air flow over coil is perhaps less than with ood motor. Shold I be checking air over coil exit temp and compare to my 3 ton Bryant unit which is beside the 5 ton unit.???Comment

I would say to look into grainger or baldor electric for a motor with more rpm-s given your shaft diameter and amperage.
I'll look but I don't think I can find a motor specifically for a Bryant a/c condenser fan. It'll probably be a "C-Frame vertical mount"Comment
