forced air heat through collapsing concrete floor please help me!

My house is on a cocrete slab and the forced air heater ducts are like some old sauna tubes that are collapsing, along with the concrete. I am having to kill mice in them, this is not a good thing. I need to fix this problem. Can i run my heater ducting through the attic, remember i live in Alaska?
