I have a Carrier 48SS 2ton pack systems Gas heat/Electric air. Can I replace the Heat Exchanger myself or do I need and HVAC professional?

It is a difficult job. Most of the time when the heat exchanger goes. The system is old. It may be easier to replace the entire pack system -
the heat exchanger is just a vessel in which the natural gas burner burns and gives off heat. since there's no freon involved, if you have the mechanical knowledge i DON'T SEE WHY NOT!Comment
