Mr Heater MHU-45NG HELP!!!

I just installed a brand new Mr. Heater MHU-45NG Unit Heater in my garage. I used the horizontal vent kit. It won't light.

Symptom;

1. Stat calls for heat
2. Induced draft fan starts
3. After a period of time the gas valve energizes & the igniter's start
4. NO FLAME!

Troubleshooting;

1. I have checked and bled gas
2. I have checked voltage at gas valve (24v)
3. Vent is clear... 1 bend, 5' long

Possibilities;

1. Air gap where adapter attach's to induced fan, I'll fill this gap with fire rope
2. Common from stat... need?
3. Bad gas valve?

unit should have its own 24 volt transformer. thermostat connections th - th. thermostat is just a switch. try connecting directly with a jumper, see what happens. gap in exhaust pipe shouldn't matter.
what does owner's manual say for troubleshooting?
