  • bryant 80 plus igniter failure #2

Replaced the igniter in our bryant 80 plus a month ago due to it burning out or going open, now it happened again. Has anyone else had this happen to them. what voltage should i see when it is in the ignite stage?

120 volt - it is a carbon film resistance element. excessive vibration will destroy the element.

One of the most failures in these elements is, if you touch it, the oil from your skin will make a bad spot and it will burn out real fast. later paul
