I currently have a furnace that came with a reusable filter. It doesn't filter well even after a good cleaning. I placed a disposable filter on top of the reusable filter, but the bottom is touching the blower. Can this cause a problem?

while multiple filter stacks may have an advantage, it can also wreak havoc on the system as per clogging up rather quickly. Use one layer of filter media. -

You dont want to use 2 filters on your system that restricts airflow to the system and it doesnt really make a difference, I would suggest you buy a pleated filter they're more expensive than the regular fiberglass filters but they filter alot more and you only need 1 filter.Comment
