Furnace Filters, need advice!

I currently have a furnace that came with a reusable filter. It doesn't filter well even after a good cleaning. I placed a disposable filter on top of the reusable filter, but the bottom is touching the blower. Can this cause a problem?

while multiple filter stacks may have an advantage, it can also wreak havoc on the system as per clogging up rather quickly. Use one layer of filter media.

You dont want to use 2 filters on your system that restricts airflow to the system and it doesnt really make a difference, I would suggest you buy a pleated filter they're more expensive than the regular fiberglass filters but they filter alot more and you only need 1 filter.
